Why I started The Sisterhood

Working for yourself can feel lonely. The Sisterhood gives you a regular chance to get out, have a coffee and spend time with other women running businesses.

Leigh-Anne, founder of The Sisterhood, laughing over a coffee on a green velvet banquette

Hello, I'm Leigh-Anne

I'm a freelance marketing consultant and mum of three. I love working for myself, but I missed having people around to share ideas with, ask questions and have a laugh.

So I started organising coffee catch-ups for women in the same boat. Somewhere relaxed, where you can come along on your own and feel comfortable once you sit down.

We now meet in Salford/Worsley and Congleton, with a members' community online in between. Someone just starting out is as welcome as someone who's been running a business for years, and you don't need to be a mum to join.

I'd love to meet you over a coffee.

Leigh-Anne xx

What a catch-up feels like

Easy to come along on your own

You'll be welcomed in and introduced, so there's no need to bring a friend.

Business and everyday life

Talk about the work you're doing, the bits that feel tricky and whatever else is going on at home.

Women from all sorts of businesses

You might meet someone in your own industry, or someone who sees your work from a different angle.

Friendships that carry on

Conversations can lead to recommendations, collaborations or a new friend to message.

Come along

We'd love to see you there

Book a catch-up, or join as a member to stay in touch in between.
